  • We loved having Erica Keswin at Ketchum. We received a lot of great feedback about the session from employees at all levels and from all different parts of the business. The larger book talk and the more intimate interactive lunch workshop were both huge hits. The content really resonated with our team members, and everyone left feeling empowered to “bring their human” to Ketchum. Erica really understands the complex nature of the world of work today and she really got to know our business in the short time we worked together. • This year, we were thrilled when Erica Keswin agreed to be the speaker for our annual City Year Women’s Board breakfast, sponsored by Bain Capital, Clifford Chance, K2 Intelligence, Korn Ferry, Navigant Consulting, and RUBENSTEIN. We know how in demand she is after the success of her recent book, so we appreciated her willingness to participate. Our audience, largely consisting of professional women, was captivated by Erica’s engaging presentation. Her message is an important one that I imagine would resonate with all audiences today in its universality: how can we reclaim the connections to others that we have lost due to technology? At one point, I looked around the room and saw a good number of people in the room taking notes as Erica offered practical solutions for managers and employees seeking to reconnect in a workplace often governed by technology. • Erica opened up our annual Young Women’s Leadership Conference. Erica set the tone for the day with her opening workshop to the 250 young women assembled about the importance of connecting in person and about the 3Ps (prioritize, positioning, and protocol). She then helped them to determine three personal goals for the conference. The first 200 registrants received a copy of her book, which was a great way to reinforce her message. Conference attendees rated her a 5 out of 5 (extremely informative and interesting) with comments ranging from, 'I liked learning about the importance of connection and wanted even more' to 'I can’t wait to read her book' to 'Love her! • In my 20+ years as an architect, creating spaces where people work, think, and interact, I have learned that what people value most in life are experiences and relationships. In our highly digitalized world, Erica brings a refreshing view to a central question: how can we align today’s technology with the social environment we’d like to create? Her stated aim, to help improve inter-human relationships in a digital world, is actually achieved in her workshops themselves! Just putting down our devices to exchange ideas isn’t an end unto itself, but it’s a very good start!"
